Minnesota Hmong New Year is Back at Saint Paul RiverCentre November 25-26
Saint Paul, MN - The 43rd Annual Minnesota Hmong New Year celebration will return to Saint Paul RiverCentre on Saturday, November 25 and Sunday, November 26. Bask in the rich Hmong culture through food, clothing and jewelry, language, music and dance.
Come and see dancing and singing competitions, and the Miss Hmong Minnesota pageant.
Hmong New Year is celebrated throughout the world and even during wartime. It is the most important cultural celebration for Hmong around the world. Traditionally, it is the one event where they pause to celebrate their harvest and rejoice in community abundance and thank their ancestors for their sacrifices.
Minnesota’s celebration began 45 years ago and has become a rich tradition woven into the fabric of Minnesota’s history and culture, drawing an average of 40,000 Hmong Americans from across the country and even from abroad.
