Minnesota Roller Derby
Event Info
Minnesota Roller Derby’s twentieth season has been a gripping one full of upsets, comebacks, and nail-biters. At January’s semifinals, the Maul Rats rolled onto the track as underdogs without a single win under their belt but clawed their way to victory against the Roller Vortex. The second game was sure to be a close one and pitted the defending champions, the Wednesday Warnings, against the Bodies of Water, who emerged victorious.
Join the league in celebrating its twentieth season of hard-hitting, fast-paced games at its home team championships, Tough Luck. The Roller Vortex and the Wednesday Warnings will compete for third place in the first game. Then stay for the championship game between the Bodies of Water and the Maul Rats to see who will win the coveted Golden Skate.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Come early to watch a brief demonstration of roller derby rules, drop by concessions, and meet skaters before the first whistle blows. At halftime, make your way to the track for a dance party and shop the merchandise table for clothes and accessories representing your favorite team. After the bout, hang out with the skaters at Camp Bar and Cabaret in Saint Paul at the official MNRD after-party.
New this year! Metro Transit is providing free rides to our bouts. Fill out this form to get a transit pass to this bout.
